Tulip Experience Amsterdam is a must see experience during your visit to the flower bulb region! Take the most beautiful pictures among 1 million tulips (and 700 varieties!) in our show garden, go on a dynamic journey of discovery through the history and growing process of the tulip in our museum and pick your own bunch of tulips. Tickets always inlude a self-picked bunch of tulips from our indoor picking garden. The family business behind Tulip Experience Amsterdam has been passionately growing tulips for three generations and we love to let you experience the magic of the tulip yourself. The Museum At the museum, we take visitors on the tulip's journey around the world. From its discovery in Kazakhstan around the year 1000 to its current status as an icon of the Netherlands. Visitors here will find out all about the tulip and learn in an interactive way about the cycle of bulb cultivation using state-of-the-art machinery and old objects (from before 1950). Follow the story of the tulip through the eyes of the bulb grower! The selfie-/show garden After the museum, the Experience continues outside and visitors step into a beautiful palette of colours. In the show garden, 1 million tulips are planted in 700 different varieties of tulips. All tulip varieties come from our own tulip farm. The show garden also has a number of special photo points for taking the perfect picture! And there is more... Tulip Experience Amsterdam also has several art exhibitions (on tulip & spring art), a cinema, a coffee corner with Dutch delicacies (overlooking our show garden), a regional market where we sell tulip souvenirs & local products and much more. You can reach Tulip Experience Amsterdam best by bike or by car. We are located at only a 5-minute car ride from Keukenhof.

Make your way to the bike rental shop next to Keukenhof. Meet your guide there, and skip the lines for bike rental as your guide will already be ready for you. Then, together with a small group of up to 10 people, set off on your amazing bike tour around the flower fields in the neighborhood of Keukenhof. Learn about this magnificent part of Holland and its flower culture and history from your guide. At a few of the stops, the guide will tell about growing tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils. There will be enough time to take pictures of the stunning flower fields. During the ride, you'll visit Tulip Experience Amsterdam. Learn everything about growing tulips here, and take beautiful pictures in the field with 1 million tulips in 500 different varieties. You can have a cup of coffee and pick your own tulips to take with you. After approximately 3 hours, arrive back at the Keukenhof, where you can visit the beautiful gardens on your own (at your own cost). If you decide to visit Keukenhof, head there before or after the bike tour, depending on the departure time of your bike tour.

Following pickup from your accommodation, take part in a short meet and greet with your driver before starting your journey to the Keukenhof. The Keukenhof is a flower park in Lisse, 45 minutes from Amsterdam. The park has an area of 32 hectares, and attracts more then 1 million people each year with its millions of flowers. Beside the flowers, the Keukenhof also has exhibitions of special flowers with a new flower each week. Some examples of these themes are roses, orchids, and chrysanthemums. Whilst at the site it is also possible to take a boat trip, which sees you sailing between the bulb fields. These boat trips are referred to as whisper trips, due to the boat's electric motors. After the Keukenhof you will go to the Tulip Experience Amsterdam. That’s 10 minutes driving from the Keukenhof. At the Tulip Experience Amsterdam you will see the history of the tulip in their museum. After that you can go into the bulb fields with more then 1 millions tulips and 700 different kinds and make some nice pictures. At the end you can pluck your own tulips. When you are done your driver returns you back to Amsterdam.

Discover this unique landscape in the Netherlands by bike. Start off your tour in Noordwijkerhout on one of the most beautiful squares in the area. Cycle along a lake to the beautiful dunes and enjoy the view over the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, where the city of Amsterdam gets the drinking water. See a glider aerodrome that is very active at the weekends.  Stop at Nederzandt, a lovely beach club near the sandy beach. Taste real dutch apple pie with coffee or tea. After this break, cycle through the dunes and woods which are part of the National Park "de Hollandse Duinen". Take in the beautiful landscapes and with some luck, you might see rabbits, a deer or a fox.  Most of the cycle paths are paved, so your bike tour will not be too hard. After a nice tour in nature, you cycle along the Atlantic Wall museum in Noordwijk. In this lovely place at the beach, you have some spare time (about an hour) to visit the beach, the shops or one of the beach clubs. Take a walk on the boulevard with beautiful hotels and terraces and eat some fish at the fish seller on the boulevard. Head back to Noordwijkerhout after this break and cycle through the country lanes of the Bollenstreek. In spring there are many tulips and daffodils blooming here. In late summer there are dahlias or gladiolus blooming.  Back in Noordwijkerhout, you will hand off your bike at the bike rental.
