Kata Tjuṯa Sunset Tour with Sparkling Wine and Cheeseboard

1. Kata Tjuṯa Sunset Tour with Sparkling Wine and Cheeseboard

Sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing National Park while your driver guide shares insights into the natural and cultural history of this fascinating region. Kata Tjuta simply translated means ‘many heads’ and given the 36 steep-sided domes of Kata Tjuta, it is aptly named. This incredible formation of rock domes extends six kilometres into the ground and is the remains of erosion that began more than 500 million years ago. The area is sacred under Anangu men’s law and under this law, details of many stories of Kata Tjuta are not known except to initiated men. While delighting in chilled Australian wines and canapés, you can enjoy the wonder of a Kata Tjuta sunset. Each passing minute brings something new as the domes continue to change colour with the setting sun.

What people are saying about Northern Territory

An amazing experience from start to finish. First an enjoyable stop off to watch the sunset over Uluru with choices of wine, beers & soft drinks plus some nibbles. Then on to our dinner experience, the staff here were lovely and everything was well explained and fairly intimate. Dinner was excellent, a great choice of BBQ meats and salads.

Great mix of activities: Cultural Centre, walk to cave paintings and waterhole, wine and nibbles and sunset viewing, (although due to stormy weather and complete cloud cover we didn’t get to see an actual sunset). Guides were very good and very knowledgeable.

We really enjoyed the tour, John and Jakob made it extra special with their good sense of humour and overall kindness. The landscape is absolutely amazing and you just feel awed of such Beauty. So majestic!!

AA kings arrangments are perfect. The bus toured around the rock slowly while the guide gave excellent commentary.

The activity is a must! Have an empty belly. The food is amazing.
