What people are saying about Northern Vietnam

Transport between Hanoi and CatBa, as well as lunch went well. But the rest was a bit vague in terms of coordination. A taxi picked us up at the restaurant to take us to the cave. The visit to the cave was accompanied by a guide, and was very good. The taxi then took us to the National Park, which was also guided, but the guide was going far too fast for our liking, we could not take advantage of the environment. The driver then took us to the port of CatBa and we had to wait there, without knowing who or when someone was picking us up. A quarter of an hour later, a hotel employee arrived and we boarded with him. The hotel was great, we almost wished we had stayed longer. The next morning, a boat picked us up to return to CatBa, we waited in the same place as the watch and boarded another boat with a new guide.

Overall the trip was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful. The one bad thing, was the evening meal on board. The food was served cold and wasn’t that good. We did complain, but nothing happened to remedy the situation. Might have been better serving buffet style, as per the lunch.
