Munich: Springfest 2023

3. Munich: Springfest 2023

The Münchner Frühlingsfest, or the Munich Springfest as it's also known, is Oktoberfest's little sister. Join tens of thousands of people as they enjoy drinking traditional German beers in the springtime sun. Although this festival is lesser-known for the moment, the sun is brighter and the crowds of tourists are smaller. The idea of Springfest is similar to Oktoberfest — beer halls, big steins of beer, authentic German music and traditional Bavarian cuisine. Once the party comes to a close in the beer halls, head to the campsites where the party is just starting. Meet international guests, listen to great music and enjoy a delicious barbecue in the sunshine.

I am giving 5 stars because I cannot give 10 stars. This tour was one of the most fun experiences my wife and I have ever had. Boris was exceptional in making this tour a memory for us to have forever. He started the tour by bringing us "breakfast" which was a delicous local lager and educated us on the history of Oktoberfest, and continued to give us facts about German beer as we walked to the festival. He then navigated us through all of the festival giving us history on rides dating back over 100 years as well as the original tents and opening ceremonies. He then took us to Augustiner tent for a local experience of the festical, we had an attractive charcutuerie board and pretzel and 2 delicous litres of local German lager. He taught us the "prost" song and continued sharing awesome stories about past Oktoberfest experiences and how to get have the best time while at the festival. I honestly was hesitant to book a tour for Oktoberfest but with Boris I would do it everytime.

Boris was amazing!!! He started the tour with the most delicious breakfast as well fun facts about Oktoberfest while we were waiting for the rest of our group! Once we got to the festival we walked around and got to see the “most famous” sites and areas of the tents before we sat down. (Please only bring small bags or you will get stopped and have to store your bag) We were greeted with with most amazing charcuterie board, music, and 2 liters of the local beer. It was a great experience, and I would recommend Boris and his tour to all my friends that were interested in Oktoberfest!!! Prost!!!!

We ended up having a private tour. It was interesting to hear the history of Oktoberfest and to here it from a locals perspective. It was good going at 10am as we were able to see everything before it was too crowded. Then we spend the rest of the day there after the tour. I guide was wonderful.

Boris was an awesome guide!!! We really enjoyed the tour with him and his insight on doing Octoberfest like a local! Our time in the tent eating and drinking was great fun!

Fantastic and fun experience. Recommend this tour! Boris was great, a knowledgeable and personable guide. Thanks
