Full description

Enjoy an authentic Japanese cultural experience by taking part in Sado (the way of tea), a traditional tea ceremony that has been practiced for centuries. Make your own brew of tea whilst learning more about Japanese tea culture with your master instructor at a urasenke (Sen family) school. Upon arrival, choose a ceremonial samue or kimono to wear. Participate in the tea ceremony and learn about the importance of tea in Japanese culture. Taste Japanese Ryukyuan sweets at the ceremonial table where you will also make your own serving of green tea.

After the tea ceremony, take a commemorative photo as a memento of your experience. Afterward, you will have gained a greater understanding of one of the most beloved Japanese traditions.
