We wanted to pack in a day of touring outside of London and Mel and Barry gave us that. We started with an early exit from London with our guide (Mel - the historian) telling us a bit about London and it's history. Our first stop was Windsor castle. While in line, Mel gave us the history of the castle and it's inhabitants. We then dashed into the state apartments and St George's cathedral. It was a winter trip, therefore, the rose gardens were closed to visitors. Our time was limited, therefore, we only caught a glimpse of the change of the guard, which was fine by us. Next, we visited Stonehenge with an interactive digital tour provided by our tour company while we made our way around the ancient stones for viewing. Before and after the visit, Mel gave us some insight into what was known about the stones. Our last visit was to the university city of Oxford. Mel conducted a walking tour of some buildings of interest and pointed out some good stores for doing a bit of shopping.

Mel & Berry we’re absolutely amazing. Mel was so amazing that my 12 year old said, she would rather have him as her social studies teacher since he was so good at explaining and making people get his attention. I would only go on another tour, if Mel was our tour guide! The Haidles

Darren was a great guide. comfortable journey to and fro, lot of incredible information about the places we visited. really well planned trip and great spots. would highly recommend this trip to all

The tour guide, Robert, was very informative and patient. Overall a pleasant trip, but it's better to plan your visit before arriving in Oxford.
