Begin your foray into northern Australia's tropical rainforest climate with a pickup from your accommodation in Cairns in the mid afternoon. Drive along the Great Barrier Reef Drive, the region’s most scenic coastal highway, and observe the changes in habitat diversity as you venture north to Daintree National Park. Go for a guided cruise down the beautiful Daintree River and keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles and other native wildlife. Hop off at Cape Tribulation, a UNESCO World Heritage area with pristine beaches, rainforest, cool streams, towering mountains, and freshwater valleys. Start with pickup from your accomodation in Carins at 7:30 AM. Begin a journey heading North along the Great Barrier Reef Drive with beautiful coastal views of the Coral Sea. Upon arrival at the park embark on a Daintree River wildlife cruise. This 2-hour cruise is full of opportunities to observe and photograph some of the most primitive forms of animal and plant life in the world. After the cruise, enjoy lunch at the Daintree Tea House. Lunch has an exotic theme with the outside dining area secluded in the rainforest with beautiful views of tropical rainforest and continuous sounds of birds and nature.  After lunch travel to Mossman Gorge. Go on an ancient journey to witness the evolutionary complexities of the rainforest. The gorge has multiple trails for you to explore with your guide. Enjoy up to 4.5 kilometers of quiet walking tracks within the World Heritage Area, and take some time to swim in the incredible freshwater gorge. After a full day of exploring the park, be returned to your accommodation at 5:30 PM.
