    Full description
    A day of fun in cosmopolitan Panama City. See the town that the world built and of course, its famous canal. Usually, your first stop will be Miraflores Locks and the Panama Canal. Miraflores Locks and the Panama Canal is your next stop. Here you will watch the ships maneuver the canal's locks, learn more about the canal at the museum. You will visit an artisan market for the best Panamanian-made souvenirs before heading to the Amador for lunch (not included). Then you will take a short nature trail walk in the Punta Culebra's open-air musuem, which is owned by the Smithsonian Foundation of Panama. Save the best for last with a walking tour of the old town: Casco Viejo. Marvel at its spectacular architecture and learn about the history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will be back back in your hotel around 16:00, unless you stay in Casco to soak up the rest of the afternoon on your own.

    The tour guide made this an enjoyable and very informative experience. His knowledge and communication was outstanding. The locations visited and overall content of the tour were outstanding, including the venue selected for lunch. The small group size also made the tour more enjoyable, since it made contact and communications with the tour guide very accessible, Also, the timeframe/length of the tour was just right!

    Even though it was raining Gonzo showed us around Casco Viejo and had us get out at cathedral square to take a peak inside. Smithsonian was neat since we got to see the animals. Lunch on the causeway super choice. Would have liked Gonzo to come into Miraflores Lock Museum with us to explain a bit. Totally missed the insects on floor 2 cuz I didn’t know about them. Would like to have been able to stop near the American sector to get a photo of one of the statues of the kids raising the flag. All-in-all, great tour & barefoot tours does a super job.
