Austin: Evening Boat Cruise with Guided Night Tour

1. Austin: Evening Boat Cruise with Guided Night Tour

Experience the beauty of Austin at twilight on a sunset cruise, with a guide and hotel transfer included. See the city's top sites like the Willie Nelson Statue, Paramount Theatre, and the Texas Capitol lit up at night. Join a bat-watching tour during March-October. Be greeted by your guide at your downtown Austin accommodation and begin your evening tour in the comfort of a Mercedes Metris van. At dusk, cruise on Austin's Lady Bird Lake and watch the changing skyline. Learn about the city’s culture and friendly locals. Take this tour between March and October, witness Austin's famous Congress Bridge bats. Join your guide on a bat-watching excursion to see fabled Mexican (or Brazilian) free-tailed bats take flight from underneath the Congress Avenue Bridge. Witness the bats under the bridge where a colony of 1.5 million bats reside, one of the biggest colonies of urban bats in the world. Be awestruck at the sight of these bats flying across the colorful evening sky, with speeds of 60 miles per hour. Hop back into the van to enjoy a narrated drive with stops at several iconic landmarks including Pfluger Bridge, Texas State Capitol, the Willie Nelson statue, and Paramount Theatre illuminated at night. Get local insights into the surrounding area from your guide before being taken back to your downtown Austin hotel.

Austin Ghosts

2. Austin Ghosts

Join US Ghost Adventures for a journey through haunted locations like The Omni Hotel, the William Sidney Porter House, and the Museum of the Weird, among countless oddball restaurants and vintage shops.  Austin has a unique way of encouraging eccentric behavior with its infamous element of the weird. The history of the capital of Texas offers shocking stories of forbidden lovers, heartbreaking suicides, brutal murders, and freak accidents.  Some of the ghosts you may encounter on this historic ghost tour are playful and harmless, but others are quite wicked and have committed some horrific crimes in their lifetimes. Stroll through hotspots in the "City of Bats" on this ghost tour and explore the dark side of the city's charming downtown streets. You’ll not only visit the most haunted places in town, but also discover the history that lives on in each building.  Keep your cameras ready because some pretty spooky footage has been captured on some of these expeditions. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the suicide brides roaming around the Driskill, or witness the legendary "Man with the Cigar" who thoughtfully paces around the Paramount Theatre.  Loads of tall tales will skim the surface of Austin’s history, but you will also hear true stories that have been thoroughly fact-checked and researched.

The captain and co-captain were funny and pleasant. A lot of interesting info was given about the area and buildings. The tour guide (driver) that took us from our hotel and around Austin before taking us to the boat was nice and friendly. Communication for the confirmation of the pick up time and location was good. The driver was punctual.

Our tour guide, Vincent was great. We were a small group, just me and my boyfriend and our first time in Austin TX. We loved getting to know Vincent and loved his knowledge on the history of Austin’s haunted places! Definitely recommended to visiting and locals

Harrison was such a great guide, super interesting, keeps you intrigued and just a good person to talk to! Highly recommend 10/10
