Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the artists and writers and their works. The tour was full of interesting anecdotes and stories and our guide created a really friendly and open atmosphere, so that by the end it felt like we had all got to know each other a little. I also liked that she had prepared short pieces of prose written by the writers which she read out to us, and showed us some of the artists' most famous pieces on her iPad. You could tell that a lot of thought and care went into the preparation.

Omar was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to the most famous graves as well as some others he found to be notable, which was a nice addition. It’s worth choosing a guided tour as the site is massive and it would be easy to give overwhelmed or lost. Hearing the stories of each person gave a better understanding of both their history and that of Paris itself. Would definitely recommend.

We LOVED this tour with Maryam!! The cemetery itself is very beautiful and the graves are so unique. We learned a lot about the lives of the people buried there, the history of the place and the city of Paris as well. Definitely go and check it out and enjoy the many special insights this guided tour offers.
