Full description

Visit one of the most remarkable areas in the Southwest, the Red Rocks of Sedona, on a day tour from Phoenix. Travel back in time to the Montezuma Castle National Monument.

Departing from Phoenix, travel along the banks of Beaver Creek to reach a Sinagua Indian cliff dwelling. Stop at the visitor center to see beads, pottery, and tools used by this long-lost culture. Admire models which help you understand what life was like for the Sinagua Indians 1000 years ago. Next, head to the amazing red rocks of Sedona. Find yourself surrounded by such famous rock formations as Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock and experience the serene beauty of Oak Creek Canyon.

Continue towards uptown Sedona, a shopper’s delight. Here, find intriguing art galleries, boutiques, and a variety of restaurants. For the non-shoppers, a side trip from the city is available, traveling deeper into this magnificent country. Finally, drive up Mingus Mountain to the turn-of-the-century mining town of Jerome, a former ghost town that is now a thriving mountainside village. Enjoy free time to visit the many shops and galleries or grab a photo of Sedona from above before beginning the journey back to Phoenix.

Interesting places and fantastic nature! Kim was our guide and she went out of her way to make sure we had a good experience. She talked all the time about everything possible, I would have liked more guidance and information than talk about other things. It was also not really possible to ask questions in the minibus we traveled in. I would have liked to have more time in Jerome in particular, but we had different wishes in the bus - it would have been good if there were fewer than ten of us so we could have had more time adapted to each individual.

Tour guide was great. I was expected more to see on this tour for this money. Especially Jerome is a cute place, but not much to see.
