What people are saying about Piazza Anfiteatro, Pompei

This was a great day. We asked to start at 8:30 am instead of 10:00 am, to beat some of the extreme heat, and they agreed no problem. We also asked to visit Herculaneum instead of Pompeii because Herculaneum was closer to Naples and smaller, which we figured would be best for our young kids and the heat. Our driver Francesco was waiting for us at 8:25 am when we opened our building’s door and was great all day. We went to Vesuvius first, which was already hot but amazing. Then we went to a winery for wine tasting and lunch. It was delicious and the view from the dining terrace was stunning 360 degrees of Vesuvius, the sea, and Sorrento Coast (plus Capri Island in the distance). Remember, this cost is not included and is about €35-42 per drinking adult, depending on the category of wine chosen. Lastly we went to Herculaneum and had an amazing, highly educational private tour. The vehicle was a comfortable, clean van with great AC. Highly recommend this customizable tour.

Fantastic day. The driver was excellent. He met us in Naples, took us to Vesuvius, an excellent restaurant for lunch, Pompeii, and then back to Naples. He was pleasant, helpfully answered our questions, and pointed out interesting sites along the way. We arrived everywhere on time. The van was clean and comfortable. He deserves five stars. The guide at Pompeii was also excellent. She gave us an exceptionally informative and entertaining tour. She was articulate, engaging, and knowledgable. She deserves five stars. The local company was also very helpful and professional. Its representative quickly responded to my messages confirming the time and place of pick up and even had the driver meet us on the platform at the train station. The local company deserves five stars. The local company representative, the driver, the guide, and the driver all spoke good English. We would happily work again with the same local company, driver, and guide.

Excellent activity, with a mixture of physical activity (short hike to the top of Vesuvius) and cultural activity with the formidable performance of Italo in the middle of the remains of Pompeii. It is as exciting for parents as it is for children (with a lot of patience). The anecdotes are numerous and rich in detail. Italo speaks French and English very well. Francesco, our driver, also made this day very pleasant. On time, helpful and friendly. He advised us well for lunch and thus avoid the classic restaurants of Pompeii. A big thank-you

Perfect way to see Vesuvio and Pompeii in one day. We also booked a lunch at a wine farm which were amazing. Both driver and guide were superb. All in all a great day.

Excellent tour. Seamless execution and very insightful. The lunch was good, the tour was excellent.
