What people are saying about Pieria

AMAZING We were a party of 6. 2 adults and 4 children. We made it to the train station at Athens early enough to enjoy the local coffee shop at the station. The coffee was perfect. The train reminded me of Amtrak. It even came with a Cafe cart. The ride was 3.5 hours long but it went pretty fast. We were the only people on the tour which made it feel even more special. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I LOVED hearing the Greek myths. We first went to an extravation site and museum. We ate lunch at a local restaurant. The food was INCREDIBLE. When we got to Mt. Olympus it was breath taking. Our guide took us up the National Park side of the mountain. We walked to a waterfall. The walk was along a path which made it safer but we still got a thrill climbing a mountain After we left Mt. Olympus we had time to visit a castle along the coast. It sounds like a lot for one day but it was PERFECT. During the train ride back to Athens all 4 children were fast asleep!

My first proper tour in Greece The group was small less than 10 and the guides were young and passionate about the history of Greece ( no surprise) and the area around Olympus and ofc Olympus itself Genuinely warm and friendly and excited to see you enjoy the special places they love And to be honest the food was above average I have not eaten one bad thing since arriving and the roasted eggplant and loucaniko Greek sausage) at the lunch stop I had were excellent Would reccomend Mt Olympus is truly a special place And being part of the landscape ( if only for a moment) of the places you read about as a child/ youth was a very meaningful experience for me

The train trip from and to Athens is long but comfortable. Once we met our guide, Jason, we were off on the adventure. Some of the archeological sites are self-guided and you need to move fast to see all the sites at them. We were joined by another for the trip. We all had the same priorities of more time with Mt. Olympus (did see the site of Dion). Once we got into the mythology and history of Greece, we found Jason very engaging and we learned a lot. Mt. Olympus is beautiful and I had no idea that Greece received snow. The waters of Olympus are amazing to see. Loved this trip.

Our train was 30 minutes late. The driver/tour guide, Jason, was still patiently waiting for us and welcomed us with a good attitude. There weren’t any other people on the tour (we were told they were moved to tomorrow) so it became a private tour. The places he took us to were all very amazing and beautiful and he also helped to take pictures.

The trip was quite good. Jason, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and provided a lot of insight into the region and history of the country. Highly recommended
