This national park covers an area of 55,000 hectares. More than 7,000 animals live here in a free and unhindered environment, and Pilanesberg is home to all of the "Big 5" (elephants, rhinos, leopards, buffalo, and lions). After being collected in the early morning by a registered field guide, travel in an open safari vehicle from your respective hotels at Sun City Resort or lodges in Pilanesberg area to the Pilanesberg National Park. Day visitors can be collected from Bakubung Gate. The transfer through the park takes approximately 1 hour as the balloon launch site is situated in the center. At the launch site, be met by the pilot and crew who will proceed to give a briefing. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive and saw 3 of the big 5 up close. It helps to go early in the morning or when the weather is cooler. MK was very knowledgeable and gave us interesting facts the whole way which made the 3 hours fly by. We really enjoyed our time with him.

Great tour to the national park with our very friendly and knowledgeable guide Eddi. Really enjoyed seeing many animals and learning more about them. The included lunch was also tasty. Definitely recommend!
