Little explanation to access to the archaeological site. Firstly, we did not know that a station was located directly at the archaeological site, so we stopped at Pompeii station and then took a taxi which charged us €20 for the 5 mins journey. Then we were misdirected to access at the meeting point which is located precisely at the station of the site. Otherwise with regard to the visit as well as the guide it was very good, pleasant and smiling.

I can't imagine going to Pompeii without a tour guide. It's much larger than we had imagined, so it was really helpful to go with someone that could give us an understanding of what we were seeing. Our guide was a charming older gentleman named Alfonso, and he really made it fun. After having traveled throughout Italy, this site is at the top of our list of must-sees. Our only regret is that we didn't allow ourselves more time to explore. You could easily spend an entire day there.

The archaeologist we booked for two hours, illustrated the life and habits of the Pompeians at the time of ancient Rome. We visited all the main places, except the villa of mysteries and the house of the faun which we visited on our own, finished the tour, as the access was from somewhere else. Beautiful
