  • Port Douglas: River Drift Snorkelling Tour in the Daintree

    1. Port Douglas: River Drift Snorkelling Tour in the Daintree

If you love nature and the water, then this is the perfect tour for you! Enjoy a complimentary pick-up from your Port Douglas or Mossman accommodation. A short drive north through historic sugar cane fields will see you arrive at the Daintree Rainforest's Mossman River; where your river trained guide will help you get fitted out with a wetsuit, boots and a snorkel mask. Step into the cool, crystal clear water and drift with the current as you explore life under the water’s surface. Watch fish dart in and around the river stones and keep your eyes out for the occasional turtle. Try to spot the elusive platypus that calls this river home- it is a rare sight! More than 30 species of fish live in this river, so you are sure to spot more than a few lizards, butterflies and rainforest birds are also frequently spotted on this river adventure. This amazing eco-immersion adventure can be fast ...

Fabulous morning on the river-we got to do the long run due to the recent rain, so the trip was amazing. Lots of time to float/snorkel as well as go over some not-too-big rapids. Definitely a must & morning is best apparently

Well worth it. This is a fantastic day trip in a nice small group. Our guide Jans was extremely knowledgeable and the whole experience was well organised. You can tick off so many sites in this region in a single day and it doesn’t even feel rushed. 100% recommend.
