What people are saying about Potosí

Very smooth trip from booking to finish, except the tour is advertised as flights to and fro in a day, but later learned that doesn’t exist anymore since Covid, so José(the owner?) offered me a private land transport back to La Paz. La Paz crew comes to your hotel at the expected time to pick you up, help checking in at the airport and takes you to the gate. Once you arrive at Uyuni, your guide and a driver awaits you and takes you around for the whole day. Especially my guide(though unfortunately I don’t remember his name anymore) was fantastic throughout. He was very attentive and accommodating around my schedule(I had to leave earlier than expected due to a scheduled flight) and took care of me so well. I suddenly had an altitude sickness in the middle of the day and he stopped in the middle of a road to make me coca tea, and sourced medication for me to take. He was also very creative in photos and videos so has been directing me to various different poses all day. Loved the day.

Had a great trip with guide Israel and driver Christian. Starting with a very comfortable bus trip down from La Paz, reclining comfortable seats allow a decent rest or sleep on the way. On arrival in Uyuni was provided with facilities to freshen up, followed by a great breakfast. Switching to a smaller but still comfortable vehicle, we set off to the Train graveyard, then the salt processing factory before heading out proper into the salt flats. Breathtaking views and several stops for photos followed, including springs and the salt hotel. A lovely remote stop was chosen to stop for lunch, great food and refreshments and we were ready to carry on. Moving on to one of the cactus covered islands, again providing amazing views and perfect photo opportunities. Finally a scenic location to watch the sunset was chosen, some more food and drink was provided, before the spectacular skies appeared. Finally back to Uyuni for bus back to La Paz. Highly recommend this memory making trip!
