The guide was very knowledgeable of the island, being a native Praslinois. He took us on a car tour of the island on the way from our hotel to Vallee de Mai, showed us where locals lived and stopped to show us interesting places and nature. At Vallee de Mai, he stayed with us most of the way and was invaluable providing context and information on the flora and fauna. He gave us about 45 minutes to explore on our own after that, before bringing us to Anse Lazio. He also offered to stop at a shop on the way for us to grab lunch (Anse Lazio only has one restaurant). Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side in Anze Lazio so we had to cut our trip short. Fortunately, though, our guide was waiting for us in the car the whole time and we could leave whenever we wanted. Overall, really recommend it!

We had a great day during our tour on Praslin. Our tour assistant was very welcoming and offered us lots of helpful information about the places we’ve seen and also about the inhabitants of the island. We first went to Vallee de Mai, where our lovely tour guide, Jana, sorted our entrance and she joined us a few meters into the national reserve to explain a few things about the famous coco de mer. She then let us go see the park by ourselves and we felt a bit lost, especially since we’ve seen other groups being joined by their guides inside the park. We then headed to Anse Lazio where we spent time swimming, taking pictures, walking on the beach barefoot and just enjoying the beauty of this place. The only recommendation I can give is to ensure that the group has a guide when visiting the Vallée de Mai. We would have paid for one gladly if we would have been told that the guide is not included. We enjoyed our day on the island and it was because of our lovely guide. Thanks!
