The business, founded by Nino and Mario Bagella with the name of Bagella Brothers, was born with a merchandise offer very close to that of a store. Clothing, haberdashery, articles for the sea and underwear were displayed and sold to meet the most disparate needs of consumers of the time.  After the war, the Bagella brothers created three more stores in Sassari, thus becoming one of the most renowned companies in the city for the guarantee of high quality of their products. In 1950 the Corso Vittorio Emanuele store was also awarded the first national "Leo Windows" award for the best showcase announced by Metro Goldwyn Mayer. Today the store, managed by the heirs who were awarded by the Sardinia Region in 2013 the title of "Historical Shop" continues the tradition by distinguishing itself for the marketing of Sardinian clothing and its accessories.
