Ideal for visitors who like to commune with nature, while experiencing an adrenaline-fuelled day, you will hop on the back of a safari-style truck, where a team of experienced guides and drivers await. Note that only 12 of the 27 waterfalls will be visited, since doing the 27 waterfalls would take greater physical preparation. After a short safety briefing, glide across the natural water springs, bathing in heavenly caves. Flanked by the whistling of exotic birdlife, and the banks of the Damajagua River, the rustling of the streams arouse a state of stillness. A labyrinth of tunnels and chutes are scattered around the waterfalls, some reaching heights of up to 13 feet. Somersault with the grace of aquatic birds, as your guide keep a watchful eye. Walk an interpretative rainforest trail to come face-to-face with Mother Earth, and wildlife waits to be greeted. Leap headfirst, swimming crossways, and sliding down natural waterslides. Explore unpredictable falls, with teasing names like “La Virgen” and “La Tinajita.” “La Virgen” holds Taino legends, where the aborigines built a statue of pebbles that paid homage to the Virgin of Altagracia, perhaps becoming the first worshippers of the Patron Saint of the Dominican people. Every year from the middle of January until the end of March you are able to see Humpback Whales in Samana. Samana is considered one of the best places in the world for humpback whale watching. These beautiful and giant marine mammals, come out regularly to the surface to breathe, remain in apnea for about twenty minutes, but can remain underwater for up to forty minutes. Whales come to Samana to give birth due to their whalebone when born, only having a very thin layer of fat so cannot withstand the cold waters. What people are saying about Puerto Plata

Our guides and staff were very kind and helpful. The 7 waterfalls was amazing. We are from Utah and it was like one of our slot canyons in the water. High rock walls and beautiful clear water. The zipline coarse was a fun trip with amazing views of the mountains and ocean. The horseback riding was a nice finish to the day with an easy ride through a few ranches in the area. Watch out for the donkeys! The food was great, a rice, beans and chicken lunch that was delicious. They made sure we had water available through out the whole day. Would definitely do it again.

It was really very good. It only bothered me that the description says something of 7.5 hours, but unfortunately only 5.5 hours can be used. Lyre far too short if you want to see all the shows and attractions. The only bad thing was that I had to pay extra for the transfer from and to the hotel. With over 100 EU for these attractions a cheek! Otherwise great.

Great experience and nice shows. We were picked up with a delay, but it was worth the wait. All shows were unique, including sharks, sea lions, parrots and not to forget the dolphins. You can look at everything multiple times and have enough time for it. It wasn't crowded either. Lunch was delicious too. All in all it was a very nice day.

Highly Recommended!!! Everything is well organized. Care and food were super good;) again at any time :)

From the moment we were picked up, to the moment we were dropped off, we had a phenomenal time
