Full description

Sail across the emerald waters of the Venice lagoon on this full day trip to the islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello. Choose from an option with a shuttle transfer from S. Lucia Train Station to the departure point in San Marco or pick a tour option that meets in San Marco.

Hop aboard a comfortable water taxi in the morning and glide through the Lagoon of Venice. Admire views from the boat's panoramic terrace and listen to commentary from your guide.

Upon arrival at your first stop, Murano, find out why the island is renowned for its glassworks with a visit to a local glass factory. Watch a skilled artisan during a glass processing demonstration. Afterward, have approximately an hour on the island for shopping in one of the many glass shops.

Next, head for Burano, which is known for its lacework and brightly colored houses. Follow your guide to the heart of the town and have 2 hours of free time to purchase a nice lunch, typical Venetian aperitifs, or get an ice cream at one of the many cafes.

Venture from Burano to Torcello, the first center of civilization in the estuary. Spend an hour of free time where you can go to see the Venetian-Byzantine mosaics at the Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta. Return to San Marco in the early evening.

Super enjoyable! The meeting point is very easy to find and everyone was nice and welcoming. The guide spoke 5 or 6 languages and explained everything in all of them. Unfortunately, there were some noises that managed to cover the speaker and we couldn't hear the directions. But she was kind and repeated many times and showed the written version before letting us wonder in Murano or Burano. The Glass Factory experience is amazing! Wish we had a bit more time to wonder in Murano. Burano was superb and we loved it. We jad the lunch break here and the food (especially fish or seafood, little pizza here) was delicious. Torcello is very quiet and you can feel the nature so close. Brief, i recommend this trip!

It was very good. The guide was there to answer any question and made it easy for us to know what to look for and where in the islands. My only advice to tourists who are not very interested in historical places to take the Murano and Burano without Torcello tours. Torcello is beautiful, and has it's own valuable attractions but different than what you find in Murano and Burano and not that family friendly. All together, it was a wonderful experience and I admire the punctuality of the tour including the transportation.

Murano part was spoiled by being captive in one shop and factory. We would have liked time to walk to all the shops, so the stop should have been another 1/2 hour longer. Technically one could have left the shop but there was no time, and you had to come through the shop again to get back to the boat. The other two islands were superb stops, and perfect as they occurred. Fifteen more minutes on Torello would have been icing on the cake.
