Full description
Are you a fan of the TV series "Il commissario Montalbano"? Then you can't miss this tour to discover the places that have made this TV series famous and given it an authentic Sicilian touch. Starting in Catania or Taormina, you'll begin your day with a visit to Ragusa Ibla, the main location of the series, where you'll discover a succession of narrow streets and baroque buildings, such as the Cathedral of San Giorgio and Piazza di Vigata, culminating in the green Hyblean Gardens. Leaving Ragusa Ibla, head to Punta Secca, a small fishing village, where you can visit Montalbano's famous house.  After a short walk along the seafront, from where you can admire the characteristic lighthouse, the small port and the old Scalambri Tower, you can take the opportunity to taste the typical products of the area.  The next stop will be Scicli, where, between a visit to the Town Hall and Palazzo Iacono, the headquarters of the famous "Vigata police station", you can't help but imagine yourself in the fiction. Before returning, Modica, known as the main representation of the Baroque style, awaits you. Strolling through its narrow streets, you'll recognise the Church of San Giorgio and the elegant façade of Palazzo Polara, often featured in the TV series.  But how can you visit Modica without tasting its renowned chocolate? There are plenty of historic chocolate shops in the town that will make it hard to escape!
