The trip started very early, but the bus arrived on time, the roll was called and we departed immediately. The bus was comfortable, and there were enough stops for various purposes. The driver was courtiers, very attentive to the road, entertaining us, passengers, with various kinds of information, news and commenting on what was happening. The cruise vessel was spacious, with a well stocked cafe. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.

Milford Sound is a must activity in Queenstown. The driver/guide was very passionate about Milford sound and made us feel the history of Milford sound. He himself worked building some walking tracks. It was very interesting how much he was involved with Milford Sound. The ferry ride was beautiful. The day I took the trip it rained cats and dogs and I have seen hundreds of rainfalls and on the ferry we were told that they there were 2000 rainfalls. I wish it wouldn’t have rained then on the ferry maybe I would have tried to go under the big rainfalls. If you want to experience that make sure to take some spare clothes with you. Then it would be great fun doing it. Next day after my trip people are stranded at Milford Sound and some could be rescued two days later. This should be an exception and I recommend every visitor of Queenstown to go there.

The weather wasn't great when we went, it was foggy and moody, but I didn't mind. It added to the mystery and the grey scenery was very LOTR-esque. Saw some seal cubs sleeping on a rock, some of them were happily swimming around it! Our driver was very knowledgable though a bit dead-pan.
