Choose a convenient pickup time from your hotel between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Journey into the Aravalli hills on a scenic drive (approximately 2.5 hours) from Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh. A local English-speaking guide will join you to explain the significance of Mewar in Rajasthani history. The thick walls of this fort (the second longest in the world) stretch for 36 kilometers and offer splendid views and easy hiking opportunities. With more than 350 temple structures, bunkers, and palaces dating back to the 1400s, it is no surprise this remote fort was declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stop for a well-deserved lunch at a multi-cuisine restaurant or try local Mewari food (at your own expense). Then drive to Ranakpur, home to India’s biggest Jain temple. Comprising of massive marble domes and pillars, this house of worship is considered sacred by Jains. Spend some time walking around, as your guide explains the Jain principles of non-violence and non-possessiveness. After a memorable day, bid farewell to your guide and head back to Udaipur to your hotel or other preferred location within city limits. The tour ends approximately ten hours after the start time.

Ranakpur is located in the mountain ranges of Pali, and the Jain temple was built during the reign of the monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th-century. This temple is world-famous for being one of the 5 most important Jain shrines in India. It is comprised of 5 spires, 20 domes, 29 halls and 420 pillars. Almost every inch of material used in its construction is alive with lavish and delicate carvings and no 2 pillars are alike. The ingenuity of the layout was such that the entire structure is bathed in natural light that streams in from the courtyards within the temple, opened out to the sky. The temple is known for its unique Jainism design and architecture. The large complex houses the smaller Chaumukha, Parsvanath, Neminath, Amba Mata and Surya temples. Amongst all these, the Chaumukha temple, shaped like a Nalinigulm Vimana (heavenly aircraft) is a major attraction and is dedicated to the first Tirthankara of Jain Rishabdev, also known as Adinath.

After pick-up in Udaipur, take the 2-hour drive to Kumbhalgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn the history of the fort while enjoying its mesmerizing view. Commonly referred to as the great wall of India, it features the second largest wall in the world. Afterwards, visit the Jain Temple in Ranakpur. It is believed that the temple was built in the 15th century under the direction of Seth Dharna Shah, who was a follower of Jainism. He constructed the temple with the help of Rana Kumbha, the King of Mewar, whose condition for his help was that the temple be named after him. There are four entrances to reach the main chamber where the idol of Adinath is placed. Discover the five pillars, each holding idols of various Tirthankaras.  After exploring the temple, you will head back to Udaipur and will be dropped back off at your hotel.

Day 1: Jodhpur City Tour  You will begin your trip with pickup from the airport, railway station, hotel, or other desired place in Jodhpur. From here your half-day city tour of Jodhpur will begin with a tour of the Mehrangarh Fort. You will have time to wander the lush gardens of Jaswant Thada, before venturing back in time with a stop at the Umaid Bhawan Palace. Day 2: Bishnoi Village Safari and Camel Safari Following breakfast, you will head out to visit the Bishnoi Villages, where you might be able to spot black bucks, chinkara, blue bulls, desert foxes, hares, or partridges. During September and March, you can even witness thousands of migratory demoiselle cranes near the Guda Lake. On the way, you can also see the local lifestyles of craftsman, shepherds, and farmers. Following the tour, you will be dropped off at a hotel to relax for 2-3 hours, before you are once again picked up for a camel safari tour at 2:30PM. You will travel from your hotel by private car to Osian, where you have the chance to independently visit two famous temples, the Sachiya Mata Temple and the exquisite Jain Temple, which features a vast amount of intricately carved marble. After taking in the temples, you will head to the starting point for your camel safari. The camel ride is considered a peak experience in Rajasthan, and you can expect to spend about one to two hours riding the camel in the Thar Desert. Afterwards, stay to watch the skies and sands change color during the sunset hour, before returning to your private vehicle for transfer back to Jodhpur.

The Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh tour will start in the morning from Udaipur. At 9:00 am our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Udaipur and you will be driven to Kumbhalgarh Fort. Enjoy the two hours journey in comfort of air-conditioned car. As you reach the fort, our tour guide will join you and will begin with the brief details about the historic fort. Take a tour of the fort housing over 360 temples and witness the commanding view of Aravalli hill range and sand dunes of Thar Desert from the citadel. Then we will drive towards next location Ranakpur village to see the ancient white marble Jain Temple. It is located 33 kms away and is 1 hour journey by road. On reaching, take a lunch break and have a filling lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the popular Jain temple dedicated to Tirthankar Adinath. Take a walk inside and notice the shrine with 108 heads of snakes with umpteen interlaced tails. It is beautified with latticework, marble sculptures, motifs inspired by central ideas of Jain culture. The provided multi-lingual guide device would tell you everything about the temple. Also, visit the ‘Sun Temple’ located at a short distance. After the interesting sightseeing your Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur tour package from Udaipur will terminate as we drop you safely at your scheduled dropping point.  

Day 1: Jodhpur to Udaipur (including Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh Fort) Your three day tour begins  From Jodhpur with pick-up from your centrally-located hotel in Jodhpur, Jodhpur Airport, or the Jodhpur Junction railway station. You can choose between multiple departure times (please advise at booking time) to suit your schedule. While en route to Udaipur, you will make a stop in Ranakpur, the site of a Jain Temple that dates to the 15th century. Explore the magnificent pillars and unique architecture of this ancient structure (entrance at own expense), and make sure to watch for the resident population of monkeys that call the complex home. You will then continue to your final destination, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kumbhalgarh Fort. This 15th-century defensive structure is famous for its massive walls which are said to extend for more than 23 miles (38 kilometers). After visiting the fort, you’ll be transferred to your final destination in Udaipur, where you will have an overnight stay in a hotel. Day 2: Udaipur City Tour After breakfast, you will visit the Udaipur City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Maharana Udai Singh started building this palace in 1559, and it was completed in the 18th century by his successors. Later, stop by Shree Jagdish Temple, a world renowned temple of Lord Vishnu. This 3-storey and 79-foot high temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singhji in 1651, cost 1.5 million rupees and is owned and managed by the royal family of Udaipur. The next stop is Dudh Talai, located on the banks of Lake Pichola near the City Palace. Here you can enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Pichola, the Jagmandir Island Palace, Lake Palace, Udaivilas, the Leela Palace, the gorgeous Aravalli ranges and Udiapur old city. You can either walk around the lake to see various species of birds, relax in the lush green garden, or enjoy the musical fountains in the park. You will also stop by Saheliyon Ki Bari, Moti Magari and the Sukhadiya Circle. When the tour concludes, you will be dropped off back at your hotel, where you will have an overnight stay. Day 3: Udaipur To Jodhpur After breakfast on the third day, you will be safely transferred back to Jodhpur.
