Cairns: Outer and Coral Cay Snorkel and Dive Cruise

1. Cairns: Outer and Coral Cay Snorkel and Dive Cruise

Step foot on a super-fast, luxury 20m CAT, feeling welcomed and pampered, and embark on an ocean-filled journey of discovery. After your early boarding from Marlin Marina, breathe in the morning ocean breeze as you sail to one of two snorkel and dive destinations. From there, explore the ocean's brilliant fish and coral reefs. At the stunning Upolu Coral Cay Reef, learn about graceful blue-spotted stingrays, tenacious green sea turtles, bright damsel fish, and other amazing creatures that call this reef their home, as you observe them from a glass bottom boat. You’ll then have the chance to see these inquisitive creatures up close, while snorkeling within the incredibly clear, turquoise water. The second snorkel and dive site is the fascinating ‘Wonder Wall’, located on the outer edge of Upolu Reef. Enjoy snorkeling on the top of the wall for easy viewing of all the marine life and coral. Sign-up for the optional, certified or introductory guided dive, encountering a huge variety of aquatic flora and fauna, including hard and soft corals, giant clams, fans, turtles and a vast assortment of colorful tropical fish as you descend and meander along the side of the wall .  In between visiting these two sites, enjoy a smorgasbord lunch fit for a king. Savor smoked salmon, prawns, three types of cold meat, a chicken platter, three fresh salads and a variety of breads. After a relaxed six hours of diving and snorkeling, spend the trip home indulging in even more delicious food, arriving back at Cairns at around 4:30 PM.

Cairns: Green Island & Great Barrier Reef Sailing Tour

2. Cairns: Green Island & Great Barrier Reef Sailing Tour

Board a classic sailboat with its crew and head out on a Green Island and Great Barrier Reef sailing cruise. Lend a hand or just relax and watch, feeling the salty breeze in your hair as you glide over the waters. Grab a Danish pastry, fresh fruit, and tea or coffee, and settle into the sailing excursion as Cairns disappears in the distance. Arrive at the exclusive Great Barrier Reef mooring that’s just 1-kilometer off Green Island. Make your way to the pinnacle part of the reef. After a snorkeling briefing, dive underneath the water’s surface with the crew and enjoy small, personalized snorkeling tours throughout the day. See corals, schools of colorful reef fish, stingrays, turtles, and black-tipped reef sharks, which are very shy and perfectly safe. Enjoy a personalized first dive with just 2 divers per instructor. No previous experience is required for this bookable option. If you are a certified diver, expect a small group with a dive guide. This tour is great for conservative diving, but not for deeper water or drift dives. After a morning of snorkeling and diving at this exclusive site, enjoy a large lunch back on board the boat. Feast on fresh Tasmanian salmon, prawns, mixed meats, chicken, and three different salads. Enjoy some time on Green Island and relax on the beach or enjoy optional island activities. Enjoy a cocktail at the island’s resort, walk across the island, visit Marine Land Melanesia where you can see crocodiles in captivity, or take a glass-bottomed boat tour. Take 4.5 hours to enjoy the reef and island. Set sail for the return trip. Enjoy fresh fruit, cheese, and crackers, a glass of wine, and finally, a piece of cake to end on a sweet note.

the staff were very helpful and the service was great. although we had high tide, and not the greatest condition for snorkeling, there were other activities like glass bottom boat, and they really tried to make our experience worth the money. definitely recommend deep dive for extra cost. it's worth it.

The crew was very informative and nice and helped out with everything. The food was really good as well! You spend a lot of time in the water at two really beautiful reef locations, but if swimming isn’t for you they offered several glass bottom boat rides throughout at both locations as well.

One of the best things I did during my work&travel in Australia!! Never dived before, but the crew gave you very proper and certain ice instructions and also took great care of us in/under water. In addition, everyone was in a good mood. Highly recommended, would do it again anytime.

Fantastic crew, well caring and service minded. I did snorkeling and scuba diving. I felt very safe and the instructor were very pedagogic and patient. Great lunch with seafood and chicken, salads, bread and more. Just do it! I can really recommend Oceans Freedom!

Great crew that gives 100% effort. Very tasty food!
