Full description
Start your Reykjavik walking tour with a look at the striking Hallgrímskirkja church in the city center. Ascend to the top of the bell tower if conditions allow, for an incredible view over the city's multicolored rooftops, Faxaflói Bay and its islands, and the surrounding mountains and volcanoes. Then, go to the beautiful sculpture garden of the Einar Jónsson Museum and learn all about Norse mythology before strolling through the quaint streets of the Þingholt neighborhood. Continue to the city pond of Tjörnin pond to visit the geese and swans.  Take a look at City Hall and see the super-sized topographical map of Iceland, where your guide will give explanations about the country's fascinating geology and volcanic history. Wind your way into the heart of the city to look at the parliament building, the modest but beautiful cathedral and the site of the first Viking homesteads. Next, visit the Old Harbour and discover the impressive Harpa Concert Hall with views of the dramatic Sólfar sculpture overlooking the bay and Mount Esja.

We had such a wonderful time on the walking tour of Reykjavik. Though it was raining, and we had just gotten off of the airplane, we were invigorated when we met our guide. He was so outgoing and bubbly that we couldn't help but have a good time. Not only did we get a tour of the city, we also got some tips and tricks for saving money in Iceland. Overall, we were super impressed by the thoroughness of the tour, the time and attention we were given, the story telling of Icelandic history and old mythology, and the energy of our guide. We could not have been happier. We had a lovely time and I would recommend the walking tour to anyone coming to Reykjavik.

We had Lalli as our guide, he was AMAZING! Really knew his information, while making us all feel happy and comfortable. Was able to answer any questions we had! He also had lots of historical pictures which was really helpful when trying to picture the stories and information. Would highly highly recommend. If I’m ever back I would definitely come again!

Very informative and personal city tour

My girlfriend and I booked this city tour through Reykjavik to get the most important information and to visit the sights of the city. With us it happened that part of the group waited in the wrong place and therefore only two of us got the tour. Our guide was an Icelander and we had the opportunity to ask her about anything on the way. She was very knowledgeable about Reykjavik, but also all of Iceland, and was able to give us tips for the rest of the trip. The tour itself was very entertaining and we had enough time to take photos or ask questions everywhere. We would choose the leadership again at any time.
