From Frankfurt: Rhine Valley Day Trip

1. From Frankfurt: Rhine Valley Day Trip

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Rhine Valley, with its vineyards and picturesque towns and villages. See the mighty medieval castles – the area has the highest density of such buildings in the world. Marvel at the stunningly beautiful "Lorelei-Felsen," or Siren's Rocks, and enjoy fantastic views over the valley from the Niederwald monument. In the summer you can ride on the Assmannshausen cable car down into the valley (optional), have lunch in a marvelous restaurant on the banks of the Rhine (included), and then take a wonderful Panorama boat trip to St. Goarshausen, past the famous Loreley. Try fine wines on location in a small tavern and or just lose yourself in the picturesque little town of Rüdesheim. Please note that the tour will only stop at Rüdesheim if time allows.  In winter time it may be possible that steamers do not operate in case of bad weather or water conditions. In this case, you will visit a castle instead. You'll travel back to Frankfurt by bus when the tour is finished and will be dropped off at the meeting point.

Koblenz: Upper Middle Rhine Valley Castle Boat Tour

2. Koblenz: Upper Middle Rhine Valley Castle Boat Tour

Welcome aboard the La Paloma for a cruise in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site. On no other stretch of the Rhine are the castles and palaces so beautifully strung together. On board the La Paloma, you can relax and enjoy the view. Start in Koblenz and first sail a short distance down the Rhine with a view of the Rhine in front of Koblenz, the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, and the famous "Deutsche Eck" (German Corner). At the mouth of the Moselle, the ship turns around and makes its way up the Rhine to Braubach to Marksburg Castle. The cruise takes you past the Electoral Palace of Koblenz (Kufürstliches Schloss Koblenz), the Koblenz Brewery, Lahneck Castle, Stolzenfels Castle and the Königsstuhl in Rhens. In Braubach the ship turns around and sails back to Koblenz.

Cologne: JGA Tour in der Altstadt mit Fotoshooting

4. Cologne: JGA Tour in der Altstadt mit Fotoshooting

Immortalize your special night out with a private walking tour and photoshoot in Cologne. Explore the city’s old town, stop outside the Chocolate Museum, and cross Hohenzollern Bridge for a view of the imposing cathedral. Strike a pose as your guide snaps pictures of your group’s best angles. Take your first set of pictures at the Chocolate Museum with a view of the Rhine. Continue with a stroll through the old town and learn about local history and which bars you should hit up afterward. Discover hidden corners and idyllic sidestreets, the perfect backdrop for unique group photos. Next is a photoshoot with the cathedral, best achieved by standing on Hohenzollern Bridge. See hundreds of love locks that couples tend to leave here and learn why the bridge is such a special place to tourists and locals alike. Go for one last shoot in the multicultural neighborhood of Schäl Sick on the other side of the Rhine from Cologne. Use the last series of photos to let loose and make some silly group poses. Your guide will email the group's contact person with 15 of the best photos from the tour as high-quality files for you and your group to share.

What people are saying about Rhine River

The bus trip was fantastic with views of Frankfurt’s cityscape and of the countryside leading to the boat tour of the Rhine River itself. The tour guide had an excellent personality and was very helpful in taking group photos. The views from the Rhine River were fantastic with the many gorgeous castles along the shore. The food at the restaurant, eaten before boarding boat, was amazing, and the wine tasting after the boat cruise was both informative and enjoyable. It made me want to live in Germany.
