From Stavanger: RIB Safari Cruise to Lysefjord

1. From Stavanger: RIB Safari Cruise to Lysefjord

The tour starts in the bottom of the harbour in the center of Stavanger. Everyone is suited up in floating suits, lifejackets and goggles (all included) before embarking the RIB. First part of the ride goes slowly out of the city harbour. Here you get to see a lot of Stavanger from the sea side. Once the boats have passed under the city bridge the real fun begin! The boats accelerate up to 35 knots and head towards the fjords. The feeling is abolutely amazing! Enjoy the wind in your hair while the boat is "flying" on the water. On your way to the fjords you will pass the city islands, fish farms and a lot of traditional cabins located down by the water. If you are lucky you will see some wildlife on your way! Look in the water for seals and porpoises and look to the sky for eagles! Once you arrive in Lysefjord there will be sevaral stops for you to capture with your camera or simply just take in the amazing scenery. The stops includes the Vagabond Cave, Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and waterfalls! After about an hour the boat will turn around and head back to Stavanger. You will be disembarked at the same dock where you embarked.

2. Stavanger: Lysefjord Kayaking Trip with Gear & Snacks

Explore the incredible fjord landscape in Lysefjordon on this guided kayaking tour. Learn the basics of kayaking, then embark on the water to see mountains, gorges, waterfalls, and wildlife. Take breaks to learn about the area and fully enjoy the scenery.  After meeting your guide, start with a short briefing about the trip, safety talk, and waivers. Gear up in the necessary paddling gear before walking (150 m) to the kayaks down by the fjord.  Adjust the seats and pedals of your kayak with the assistance of the guide, then set out on the water to learn the basic paddling techniques, including efficient forward paddling and how to steer the kayak. When you've got hold of the basics, follow your guide across the fjord where you'll be paddling closely along to the 300-400m tall mountains, exploring beautiful gorges and waterfalls, and hopefully meeting some of the curious seals of the fjord. We had a brilliant 3 hour kayak trip with our guide Dan. The booking was easy and the information sent very comprehensive. Equipment was good and the scenery stunning. I would highly recommend Nordic Paddling

Nice experience and very nice views over the water and in the fjord. Perfect to do with your teenage kids if you're looking for a fun activity for them; with 400 hp engine and 65 knots over the water!

totally recommend our guide sven. Has been a great tour with lots of nice views of the fjord and great jumps with the boat over the waves.

Absolutely awesome, a must do! Guides are great, friendly and made the experience unforgettable! Don’t miss the thrill and natural beauty!

Great trip. Good guidance and you can master the kayaking itself in no time. Beautiful views and steep cliffs. Highly recommended
