Full description
Eat your way through the "Eternal City" on a 4-hour walking tour of Rome, starting in the vibrant square of the Campo de’ Fiori. Soak up the dynamic atmosphere of the bustling cafés and street musicians at the start of the Italian tradition of "aperitif." Meet your guide at the perfect spot for a tour focused on food and wine, and sample a selection of artisanal salamis from Italy, paired with your first taste of the country’s fine wines. Stroll through the city center as your guide divulges its strange and wonderful history. Then, nourish yourself with some local cheese at an historic shop that sells cheeses of various Italian origins. Sample another glass of carefully selected wine and try the authentic Roman specialty of baccalà fritto (fried salted cod). Continue with a tasting of 2 other typically Roman foods: pizza "by the slice" and supplì (rice balls). Visit eateries that specialize in the production of these scrumptious treats to experience new taste sensations and unforgettable aromas. Digest all your delicious food samples on a stroll to supper in one of the coziest restaurants in the Trastevere district. Known for the quality of its food, this quarter is considered to have the best restaurants in Rome. Enjoy an exquisite Roman antipasto and 2 first courses, accompanied by 2 different Italian wines of protected production and origin. Finally, try some locally made Italian ice cream in flavors typical of a famous gelateria to complete your immersive journey into Italian cuisine.

great experience! I didn't know what to expect, selected this tour on a whim, and it was worth it. All the different food was great (classic items suppl, bacalla, charcuterie, cheese), always wine accompanying the meals, and the pasta was delicious. This food tour experience is really dependent on the group you are with but our group was very fun and we all were best friends by the end of the night. After pasta though no other course. But when you are served 4 different filling antipastis, it is way enough food.

A fantastic experience! We were looked after superbly by Guiseppe, who was knowledgeable, friendly and made everyone feel welcome. The group was small enough to get to know our companions (who were lovely,a great international group). The places chosen reflected typical Lazio regional and wider Italian food well. However, the best part was the combination of fascinating historical information about the old city and Trastevere, our favourite part of Rome. A really enjoyable time and a great way to spend an evening getting to know Rome a little better! Grazie mille, Guiseppe!

Awesome experience! Giving only 4 stars because our tour guide was more than 30 mins late when we ironically were told to arrive 25 mins early... so that made everyone in our group wait about an hour! Also, another minor thing is one of the wine tasting was in plastic cups (maybe covid?). The rest of the tour was awesome. Tour guide (Lorenzo) was very knowledgeable. Please be advised there will be a LOT of walking. Wear VERY comfy shoes :) In all, we had: meat board + wine, cheese + wine, suppli, pasta + wine dinner and lastly, gelato = all in different locations, you can tell there's a lot of walking in between these places but its all worth it! We toured Campo de Fiori and Trastevere areas.
