See baroque fountains and statues that strike poses before imposing architecture. Stop at 7 different tasting venues en route, including restaurants, delicatessens, and other notable sites. Go to Piazza Navona, built on the site of the Stadium of Domitian and site of a city market in the late 15th century. See some of Rome’s finest baroque architecture, and Bernini’s Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers). Visit the site of a medieval market at Campo de’ Fiori and admire the local atmosphere. It was a great experience. Our guide Maria was amazing, she knew a lot about the history, culture and food in rome. It was a pleasure to spend time with her. Her passion for food and culture shows in the conversation and the way she engages. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends.

Lots of great food!

Went as family w/older teenage children and was appropriate for all. The food was amazing and varied. The guide-Mario- was pleasant and tried hard, but his English was not fluent in cadence, making it hard to follow him sometimes. (the tour company broke our group in 2 due to size and other guide had stronger English). It would have been good if the proprietors had explained more about their foods. The pastas were amazing, the pizza better than any other we’ve had in a week. It was definitely worth the money and would have been a “5” if the guide was stronger.

OK but Expensive

The tour started on time, easy to find location. I would have benefited from a map or list with addresses of places we visited. Plus recommendations for other restaurants etc would have been good. We seemed to spend a fair amount of time waiting for service, food etc. The food and wine were abundant, but I felt the tour was directionless with a sort of "hey lets go here" vibe rather than a more planned visit. Also the tour was a bit short on history as well as food info. We seemed to hop from one destination to another without explanation as to why this place was chosen. Overall the tour was good, but for the price should have been excellent.
