Turin: Royal Palace and Cathedral Ticket and Guided Tour

10. Turin: Royal Palace and Cathedral Ticket and Guided Tour

this tour is available only in Italian and French . I do not recommend this visit to English speakers because our guide only speaks French or Italian, that could cause unnecessary embarrassment. No people who do not understand French or Italian, please! We thanks for that inconvenience. We are sorry! The royal palace of turin is among the most opulent historic Italian palaces and nowadays houses the royal museums. The whole site has been included on the unesco world heritage list since 1997. The imposing building is located in the very heart of turin, surounded with 17 century gardens. take a walk into the magnificent rooms of the Italian kings' house — sure to impress with marvelous collections of original tapestries, precious weapons and armors, meticulously decorated furniture, and an extensive art collection. A particular attention has been paid to the dining room set up with 19 century german porcelain dishes, english silver cutlery and refined baccarat glasses with gold decorations, original chandeliers of great value in gilded bronze. Your tour includes also a very short visit to the royal armory among the richest in europe, the splendid baroque masterpiece by guarino guarini, the chapel ot the the holy shroud designed to house one of the most mysterious relics of christianity. The shroud of turin also known as the holy shroud is a length of linen cloth bearing the negative image of a man. Some describe the image as depicting Jesus of nazareth. Your tour will end in the catedral or at the Chapel of Holy Shroud where you can admire the place where the Shroud is located. Because of its extremely fragile state, the shroud is not viewable to the public except during very rare public viewings, but you can see the beautiful place where the case stands, the XVIII royal tribun. The places of holy shroud is just one reason to visit Turin, an interesting city with lots of history and things to see. End your experience by admiring the perfect copy of Leonardo's Last Supper, hung on the counter-façade of the cathedral.

We spent some wonderful days immersed in the absolute beauty of Turin and its surroundings. Get the Turin + Piedmont card because it is advantageous and enjoy the beauties that this place offers.

It was a wonderful experience, the royal palace is totally worth a visit, but what made us appreciate it even more was our guide, a lady of excellent preparation. My son was fascinated. It's a pleasure to find such knowledgeable people. Thank you.

Being able to access spaces that are normally closed and unknown to the people of Turin themselves. The inclusion of actors to recall the suggestive atmospheres of the story is an excellent idea.

It was absolutely perfect ! If you want to taste wine is the place to go definitely! Beatrice is a really good guide and she knows everything about wine!

We had the nicest trip around Turin. Our guide was so sweet and present, it was a pleasure - thank you for a wonderful experience
