Vic: Balloon Ride

4. Vic: Balloon Ride

A balloon flight is an experience that you always will remember. It begins very early in the morning at sunrise. The preparation of the balloon lasts half an hour and it's spectacular to see how the balloon takes shape. Once the balloon is ready for takeoff, get inside the basket. The pilot will give a briefing and then you will depart. Your pilot will take the balloon to different heights looking for the most favourable air currents, resulting in an entertaining and varied experience. The basket is extremely stable and the views will be unforgettable. After a reminder of the briefing, the pilot will start to descend. The landing is one of the most exciting moments of the balloon flight. After the landing passengers can, if they wish, help to collect the balloon, a good way to make the experience even more involved and interesting. There is still a very important part of the experience left. Since 1783, when the first balloon flight was made with passengers, a champagne toast has been a part of the journey. Here, you do it with Catalan Cava, a sparkling wine from the Catalonia region. The pilot will then present each passenger with a flight certificate to commemorate the experience. On each flight we take pictures and passengers can download them from an online photo gallery afterwards.

Absolutely the best Ancient tour we have ever had in Europe. Ancient homes from 10/11 century still lived in with some original walls. Scenery incredible. There is no way we can properly describe what we saw or experienced. My wife and I have had multiple tours throughout Europe, both on Cruises and land based. In our minds this is the best ever for ancient villages still being lived in. Our guide,Cam, was also the best guide we have ever had, period, without question. Both for knowledge and concern for the senior people on the tour of which we are two. Exceptional value for the money we paid. On this trip we did 4 tours with Get Your Guide and highly recommend them.

Loved this tour!!! We have been to Barcelona several times, and always try to venture further a field to some where special. We don't drive so can only go where the train allows us. This time we thought we'd try a tour and we weren't disappointed. Carlos looked after us so well. He's charming, funny and full of interesting facts about Barcelona itself and the surrounding areas. We were a small group of ten, all from different parts of the world but we all got on and sat down for lunch with each other.

Jordi is awesome! His explanation on the history and background about each town was purely phenomenal. Recommended!

The cities visited were beautiful. Well worth the every penny and minute.

Cam was a great guide and the scenery was beautiful!
