Experiencing these stories while at the sites where they occurred is a truly unique experience that can’t be recreated by simply reading about their history.  During your tour, find out how did Salem became the center for all haunted happenings. The phenomenon is partially explained by Salem’s rich history and the fact that many of its oldest structures and sites are preserved today, including ...

Simone was a great guide! The tours were perfect for travelers that prefer a smaller one on one tour.

  • Salem: 1692 Witchcraft Trials Walk

    3. Salem: 1692 Witchcraft Trials Walk

Explore this history of the infamous 1692 Salem Witchcraft Trials on a 1.5-hour walking tour of the city. Listen to tales of the fear, political turmoil, and family rivalries all help fuel the hysteria that pitted neighbor against neighbor and family members against each other. Starting from the local partner's office, visit the jails where suspected witches were held, the court house, and homes of the judges and accused. Discover how two girls having fits transformed into a frantic quest to expel the Devil, leading to the deaths of 25 innocent people.

Our guide, Shofta (?sp?) was very knowledgeable about the area and the history surrounding it. Occasionally he went off on tangents, which I found equally interesting. It was a very engaging tour, and fortunately I felt we did not have to tramp all over the city. My only regret is that the Witch House is apparently the only surviving structure from that era- but that was nothing anyone could do anything about. Very enjoyable - the 90 min passed very quickly!

What people are saying about Salem

If you have time and want to know all about Boston and its surroundings I will recommend to go with the 7-day pass, I was able to do almost all the available options, and enjoy all for half the price. I think that going before the Summer was the best option because the attractions were not too crowded and was able to make the most of it, besides, I was able to get really good pictures, check them out at @sirdavidsoto on Instagram.

We got the one day pass and really feel like we got our money's worth plus some. It would be better if the premium attractions are explained better so people would know what is free with their pass and what is only discounted. Otherwise, a great deal.

It had tons of fantastic activities and the PDF guide was so helpful with time frames, addresses, open-close time and how to reserve time slots! Great pass and a real asset to our trip to Boston!

Learned the places we wanted to return to and what days/hours they were open.
