Full description
Board a bus directly to Poble Espanyol, an architectural museum located in Montjuïc Park. First constructed in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exhibition, Poble Espanyol contains 117 buildings built to resemble a typical Spanish village. Spot architectural elements inspired by a number of different regions, from the villages of Andalusia to Romanesque Catalan monasteries. Peruse the local handicrafts for sale and visit some of the many restaurants and bars onsite. Check out the impressive collection of contemporary art that includes works by Dalí, Picasso, and Miró. Visit the new audiovisual exhibit and enjoy samples of folklore and festivities from all over Spain. After your visit to Poble Espanyol, get picked up and explore Barcelona further. Drive to the top of Montjuïc to enjoy beautiful views over the harbor and the city from the Mayor's Lookout. Pass by the Arc de Triomf on your way to Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece. Take time to walk around this magnificent building and get pictures of the intricate different facades. Check out some of Gaudí's other buildings on Paseo de Gracia, including the Casa Mila and Casa Battlo. Once you reach Plaça de Catalunya in the city center, enjoy free time to stroll down the Rambla and its surroundings. Visit the  Boquería, a famous covered market, and the Santa Eulalia Cathedral. Take a walk through the Gothic Quarter and get lost in its labyrinthine streets while shopping in numerous boutiques or stopping for a drink in a street side terrace.

Nuno was very informative. We had a good day!!!

    July 25, 2019

Overall a disappointing experience with the tour’s itinerary not following its description. Too much time spent (1h15m) at the exterior of Sagrada Familia in the warmest part of the day. Some older passengers were literally wilting in the heat. Spanish village could have been skipped as no one was really interested to enable more free time in central area Las Ramblas. Only 1.5hr here. By time you walked to the street it was nearly time to turn back which was frustrating as we’d wasted so much time at other areas. Tour group was also too large (71) so going home took over 2.5hrs by the time everyone got dropped off. A draining day. Tour guide did seem knowledgable and bud was lovely and clean. If choosing choose the free time option as you will get more time round the areas you actually want to see.
