Salt Lake City: 3-Hour Guided Big-City-Loop Bike Tour

1. Salt Lake City: 3-Hour Guided Big-City-Loop Bike Tour

Meet your guide at Liberty Park, the oldest park in the city, and get acquainted with your cruiser bike by taking it for a lap. Fill your provided water bottle with fresh, artesian spring water. Cruise through Gilgal Park, a bizarre sculpture garden with Mormon roots, including a sphinx with the face of Joseph Smith. Roll past quaint 120-year-old neighborhoods filled with brick homes, all the way into downtown and the mouth of City Creek Canyon. This canyon is the city center's gateway straight into the Wasatch Mountains, and also home to black bears, moose, cougars, and elk, all of which are sometimes seen roaming through the city. Coast on your bike into Temple Square, the site of the original Mormon Temple, and maybe catch a free organ recital. Then, head down Main Street with an option to stop for a coffee or an authentic French pastry. Then it's off to the Salt Lake City Main Library branch, where you may get to dismount, take a glass elevator to the rooftop terrace and observation deck, and take in views of the city and mountains, alongside the trees and flowers of the roof's garden. From the library, it's a leisurely ride back to the meeting point in beautiful Liberty Park.
