  • Santiago: Half–Day Santa Rita Vineyard Tour

    2. Santiago: Half–Day Santa Rita Vineyard Tour

After pick–up from your hotel in the morning or afternoon in an air–conditioned van, head approximately 40 minutes south of the city. On the road the guide will give you an introduction to the Maipo Valley and the vineyard that you are going to visit. This is a perfect moment to ask questions you may have about the lives of Chileans and their traditions. Close to the vineyard is a little town called Alto Jahuel, where the people of Santiago go to escape the noise of the city. When you arrive at the vineyard, see the majestic landscape and the big house before the tour starts.   Begin your guided tour through the vineyards, starting at the wineries and finishing with the wine bottling process. Visit the historic Bodega 1 made of cal y canto, and the famous national treasure, Bodega de los 120 Patriotas. The tour finishes with an amazing wine tasting of some great aged w...

The vineyard is lovely and the tour was very nice. However the driver was 20 minutes late and the tour was shorter than advertised. Would have liked some extra time at Santa Rita to enjoy the museum.

Take a sightseeing tour of Victoria Square, Sotomayor Square, the naval heroes monument, and the May 21st Lookout. Take a walk into the hills, using 1 or 2 elevators or explore the bay area. Next stop in Viña del Mar, the city known as the Garden City. Explore some remarkable locations in the resort town including the floral clock, the Casino, and Reñaca beach where you'll have time to stop for lunch at your own expense. After lunch, spend a bit more free time to enjoy relaxing on the beach. Finally, before taking the coast road back t...

The bus arrived on time for the pick-up and the tour of Valparaiso (“Valpo” according to our guide, as the Chileans will shorten anything they can) was interesting - particularly the street art. You do need to be able to walk down steps for this part of the tour. Unfortunately, 2 members of the group went AWOL (no fault of the guide), so we lost some time waiting for them and our tour of Vina was somewhat curtailed. Our driver also had to take a diversion on the way back to avoid the road closures in Santiago.

Great private tour. We only got two wineries in because of an incident at the third but I was more than happy with that and we got a swift and fair reimbursement. Driver’s English was good enough that we had no issues with communication.

Excellent service, our guide very friendly and cordial, very informed about the area and place. Concerned tb of the precautions of the Covid-19. The very beautiful, natural place with beautiful views, the hot springs are very beautiful natural, the skin is excellent. The bonfire is held in a very nice place by Mrs. Claudia who is very friendly with visitors. On the other hand, to thank Ignacio for the information and coordination for an activity to be carried out the next day, without his support it would not have been a success. Thanks for the excellent guide and beautiful place.

Excellent activity. Recommended anyway. Learn more about the history of the Cousiño Goyenechea family. I went with my 81 year old dad and he enjoyed it as a kid. Amaro as a guide is dedicated, detailed and with an excellent disposition.

Excellent tour! Pancho was very knowledgeable, funny and kind. I don’t remember our driver’s name but he was great also, I felt very safe. He was also very flexible with roads in Valparaiso. Great experience!

Excellent experience! Gorgeous scenery on a gorgeous day! Alejandro (and Francisco behind the wheel) were great — very knowledgeable and personable!
