Get to know some of the most iconic places in Downtown Santiago, on the only Hop On- Hop Off in Chile. This special post Covid version will allow you to discover the city in one of our London style buses trough two circuits, the routes converge in the number 1 spot to visit, according to Trip Advisor, The Cerro San Cristobal- which is the largest urban park in Latin America. Here you will be able to visit the various attractions that the park has, such as Santiago Teleférico, riding a cable car and enjoying panoramic views from the air or taking a Panoramic Bus arriving at the summit of Cerro San Cristóbal. We begin our trip on the 'Santiago Patrimonial' route, which will take you on 4 stops so that you may get to know the capital city´s historic center, which you can explore on your own: the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the Casa Colorada and the Museum of Santiago, the former National Congress, the Royal House of Customs and the Pre-Columbian Museum, the Courts of Justice, the National Historical Museum, the Government Palace, the Cerro Santa Lucía and much more. We continue the experience in the eastern sector of the capital, on the 'Modern Santiago' route. We will visit different gastronomic hubs, as well as various residential and commercial neighborhoods, where you will be able to walk around getting to know on your own time, in any of the 5 stops. During this route you will visit the Parque Bicentenario, one of the main green areas of the city, there are two lagoons where black-necked swans, flamingos, herons and fish coexist, trails to walk across the park, and an amphitheater. In addition, we will visit the most luxurious shopping center in Chile, the Parque Arauco Mall, here you will find some of the best brands and a diverse variety in products and souvenirs. With an entertainment hub that includes an open-air boulevard with some of the finest cuisine, a cinema, theater and the Turistik Info center (located at the Boulevard entrance). The 4 stops on the Hop On-Hop Off for the 'Santiago Patrimonial' route are: - Funicular (connection with the 'Modern Santiago' route) - Plaza de Armas - Plaza de la Constitución - Santa Lucía The 5 stops on the 'Modern Santiago' route are: - Funicular (connection with the 'Santiago Patrimonial' route) - Costanera Center - Isidora Goyenechea - Parque Arauco - Parque Bicentenario You can get on and off the bus as many times as you want along the route, between 9:45 AM and 6:00 PM. Your tour will begin as you are collected from your accommodation, from where you will board a coach destined for the coastal towns of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. Once in Valparaiso, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will embark on a panoramic tour of the port and Plaza Sotomayor (Sotomayor Square). Following your tour, you will ascend to the summit of the Concepción and Alegre Hills using traditional elevators. Pass by the Tinoco Tunnel, admire the picturesque Cajón del Maipo gorge, and enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the El Yeso Dam. Start your tour early in the morning with a convenient pickup directly from your accommodation. Hop into the air-conditioned van and set out towards the Maipo Canyon. As you travel, admire the wonderful views of this natural landscape full of high mountain passes, lakes, and forests. Hear about the area's traditions and listen to folktales told by your guide. Your tour will begin as you are picked up from your centrally located Santiago hotel, at which point you will begin driving to Portillo. You will pass through the intermediate depression, and will also be able to admire the Andes mountain range. You will soon reach the Chacabuco Monument, which is a historical site where a battle for Chile's independence took place in 1817. You will then cross a tunnel which borders the region, before reaching a place where you can see the Aconcagua Mount in the background. Along the road, you will see the old Andean railway and, as we cross Rio Blanco, you can admire the small towns, mining camps, glaciers, and the impressive Andes mountains. You will reach Portillo and see the protective passageways that were built as shelters from avalanches which occur during the winter season. It will then be time for lunch (not included), as you marvel at the beautiful and imposing Inca Lagoon. Finally, you will be returned to your hotel in Santiago. If you choose the option with Aconcagua Park, you will also see Puente del Inca, a geomorphological curiosity that is 48 meters long, 28 meters wide, 8 meters thick, and is suspended 27 meters above the river. A series of stalactites, calcium inflorescences and winter ice needles hang from this natural bridge. After the visit to the Puente del Inca, head to the Aconcagua Provincial Park, where you can see the highest mountain in South America. Depending on time availability, a short trek may be available for interested guests.

Discover Cajón del Maipo on a day trip from Santiago. Relax in the medicinal hot springs, enjoy a traditional Chilean barbecue, and see the stunning Veil of the Bride waterfall.  Leave Santiago early morning, and head into the Andes to see a majestic sunrise. Cross the old train line and the Maipo river to enter Cajón del Maipo. Drive past picturesque towns before stopping at a restaurant for a delicious buffet breakfast. As you eat, marvel at a view of the volcano.  After breakfast, continue through the hills in a safari-style Jeep to the natural hot springs of Termas Valle de Colina. Relax in any of the 7 pools with temperatures ranging from 130ºF to 86ºF, heated by the nearby volcano. When you're ready, continue to several viewpoints and enjoy panoramic vistas of the volcano and mountains. Head back to the restaurant to enjoy a Chilean barbecue or empanadas, depending on the season and weather. As you eat, drink wines from central and southern Chile. Once you've finished eating, drive to the roaring Veil of the Bride waterfall, fed by the water from a nearby glacier. Return to Santiago in the afternoon.

Then you will continue up the mountain towards Valle Nevado to enjoy the mountainous summer climate. The tour guide will help you move around Valle Nevado and take pictures. I bought the tickets a few days before. The access to the elevator was very fast, the 0lace was not crowded at all. the guide explained very well and the view of Santiago was amazing.
