Full description

Discover Cajón del Maipo on an afternoon trip from Santiago escaping from the crowds and heat. Relax in the medicinal hot springs, see the stunning Veil of the Bride waterfall and enjoy a traditional Chilean barbecue while stargazing.

Meet at one of several pickup points in Santiago and head into the Andes to see a majestic valley called Cajón del Maipo. Cross the old train line and the Maipo river to enter Cajón del Maipo. Drive past picturesque towns before stopping at the roaring Veil of the Bride waterfall, fed by the water from a nearby glacier.

Continue through the hills to several viewpoints and enjoy panoramic views of the volcano and mountains, before heading to the natural hot springs of Termas Valle de Colina. Relax in any of the 7 pools with temperatures ranging from 130ºF to 86ºF (55ºC to 30ºC), heated by the nearby volcano.

When you're ready, Head back to the lounge in order to enjoy a Chilean barbecue. As you eat, drink wines from central and southern Chile, beers, juices, or hot beverages.

Once you've finished eating, lay down at the lounges around the campfire while stargazing. Afterward, relax on the return journey to Santiago with drop-off at your hotel.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE! Everything’s so well coordinated and the people from the travel agency are so kind. The bbq was delicious, the wine amazing and the whole experience itself. I would recommend to the hot springs service provider to fix a little bit up the bathrooms, the conditions are really really bad. To the jeep on tour crew, ¡awesome job! Service, experience, food, everything!

Didn't realize it was such a long drive (3.5hrs) to hot springs. Went in 2 Dodge Durangos. Pools were fun and then drove for dinner around a firepit -lots of appetizers and empanadas and beef and sausages with wine and drinks. No stargazing as cloudy. Nicely organized and it was pleasant evening but perhaps not worth the long drive. Drivers were excellent but they weren't really guides.

A truly fantastic tour. Jaime was our guide and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is by far the best tour your can do of Maipo hot springs - with a lovely breakfast, and barbecue lunch at El Morado. The barbecue lunch really brought everyone together in the group, and we left with many more friends than we started the day with! A truly memorable and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!
