Full description
Start with the breath-taking view at the Prophet Elias Monastery and visit the picturesque monastery. Then head to Megalochori village, an extremely charming traditional settlement, almost abandoned after a major earthquake. Your trip continues to Akrotiri Excavations, one of the most significant archaelogical sites in Greece that includes a vast structure, once inhabited by 200 families. The site was preserved, buried under the volcano’s lava. Then you will have free time at the Red Beach to simply enjoy the colorful formations of the mountain and/or visit Akrotiri Bay for coffee or lunch with Greek traditional mezedes and ouzo (not included in the price). Perivolos, with its black sandy beach, comes next. There you will have enough time to enjoy swimming, explore the area, and taste fresh cooked fishes at the local taverns. The last stop is one of the most popular wineries in Santorini, for a wine tasting experience.

Excellent experience that encompasses a bit of what you can do in Santorini, especially if you have little time.We visited the excavations, took a walk in Megalochori, took a photo of the red beach, a dip (for those who wanted, since was October) in Perivolos with lunch in a typical Greek tavern facing the sea and wine tasting in the cellar. All was accompanied by Tania, a fantastic guide and Niko, a very good driver.

This tour was not to long and not to short. The previous tour I’d done in another island lasted about 10 hours which was waaay to long. This was just under 7 hrs which was great because of the good blocks of time we Got to be on our own and hang out at the beaches. The tour guide was awesome, although I’ve unfortunately forgotten her name, she was enthusiastic, funny and sincere. She really seemed to care about her job and us. I appreciated that. And The value was good too. Great experience

The tour was good though pretty rushed, I would have love to spend more time on the beach (Perivolos-Perissa) and at the wine-tasting and maybe less at the St Elias' monastery. The guide was nice and spoke both English and German very well. I would have preferred to see Ancien Thira than Akrotiri, were there is not much to see plus you pay an expensive entry fee. Please note that the wine-tasting has to be paid separately, too.
