Full description

Enjoy a roundtrip tour to Santorini. Travel comfortably on a modern boat and in air-conditioned buses while learning about this island's history and mythology. Capture pictures of Santorini's famous Aegean architecture and narrow, winding streets.

Travel to Heraklion port where you will depart on a high-speed boat for Santorini. Enjoy ocean views on the 2.5-hour cruise to the island and pickup a snack from the bar onboard.

Arrive at Port Athinios and hop aboard the bus for the guided tour. Travel 40 minutes to Oia, where you will admire the blue and white houses built over the cliffs. Learn about the city before enjoying free time to admire the volcanic caldera at your own pace.

Next, travel 30 minutes to Fira, the main town of Santorini, built on the edge of a 300-meter cliff. Check out its narrow streets, white vaulted houses, and bright blue domes.

Have the option to take a cruise from Fira in a wooden boat to the volcano and hot springs (for an additional charge) or spend more time exploring the city. Return to Port Athinios where your guide will help you board the return ferry.

Take in the late-afternoon views on the boat before arriving at Heraklion port.

An interesting journey. Considering indeed Santorini is becoming more and more commercial these days, trying the optional trip is a good idea and a plus. But be aware that it costs 20 EUROs. You can swim, but be aware that it is a little bit deep for 10 meters. But theoretically it is not dangerous because the sea is quite peaceful and swimming sticks are provided. If you are in Oia, please be fast or you cannot make yourself back to the bus in time…

Like all tours so far, very well organized, it went smoothly, Oja should have 2.5 hours of time instead of Fira, it's just worth it because of the recordings and photos. Then you don't run around so fast, you have more time to look. Fira is nice too but Oja can't be beaten. Arrived at the hotel around 11pm due to the rough sea, exhausting day but a must. Anytime again, it was worth it, simply a must.

The island of Santorini is beautiful in architecture, but it is very touristy. You arrive together with several hundred people and are driven across the island on various buses. All the tourists then meet in the towns and move through the narrow streets. Santorini is not recommended for people with restricted mobility due to the many meetings.
