Full description
You will be collected early in the morning from your hotel in Santorini Island and driven in a luxury, modern, minivan with WiFi and A/C to the most attractive sightseing spots on the island. Augmented reality maps will be provided for free to passengers in order to give you the opportunity to get more information via your mobile-phone about the sites. Your first stop is Akrotiri Archaeological Site and museum in Akrotiri where you can feel the atmosphere of the island's volcanic eruption days and also see ancient ruins. Then you will drive to the nearby Red Beach which is popular because of its amazing pure and volcanic red rocks formation. Here you can take some time to swim and relax. Then, you will head to Black Beach in Perissa to swim, relax, or have a meal at one of the sea front bars. Next up, enjoy a wine tasting in Venetsanos Winery. You will have the opportunity to try some of the most excellent local wines in quality and flavor, such as Vinsanto, Nichteri, and Asyrtiko. At the end of this tour, Pyrgos and Oia will be your last stops. They are the most traditional villages in Santorini and there you'll have enough time to explore and admire the Cycladic architecture and Greek hospitality, to walk in the narrow pathways next to blue and white old and traditional houses, to go shopping, or relax and admire the breathtaking views of the island of Caldera.

Gela was our driver. We were able to customize our time based on what we wanted to see. Gela knew the island well and was able to take shorter routes between stops to maximize our time. He made some good suggestions on stops. He also was very accommodating when we went to Santos winery for wine tasting and left to take another fare to the port while we enjoyed our visit to Santos and then returned to get us. This enabled us to get to all the stops we wanted.

Our guide/driver Gellas was an enthusiastic host to Santorini- he helped plan the time we had and was able to include Oía first before the heat and crowds, then a drive along the north coast to the highest point, a stop in Pyrgos then a visit to the Akrotiri museum which is very well done. The view of the red sand beach (very crowded) was sufficient and we took a quick swim at the black sand beach which was much more relaxed. We wrapped up with a stop at the Santo winery which had an excellent view!

Amazing experience, fully restored the trips that Get your Guide offers. After the disastrous Volcanic experience yesterday this tour was amazing. Gela Utrutashvili was punctual, knowledgeable, knew our preferred time schedule and took us too many unexpected places. In 5 hours we visited Thira, Monastery, Pyrgos, Megalochori, Akrotiri lighthouse, Red beach and Perissa. Highly recommend
