Full description
Enjoy an afternoon of fun gliding along beautiful Tybee Island, just 25 minutes outside of Savannah. Discover military installations, historic sites, and amazing ecology on your 60-minute guided Segway tour in this historically strategic location where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic. Meet at the local partner's shop in Savannah and hop on your transport to Tybee. Along the way, see the mighty Fort Pulaski, occupied by both the Union and the Confederate States during the Civil War. Past the fort, catch sight of Georgia's smallest lighthouse, the Cockspur Lighthouse, marking the South Channel of the Savannah River. Upon arrival in Tybee, you'll be fitted with a helmet and headset to make sure you're safe and able to clearly hear your guide during your tour. Then, cover twice as much ground as on a walking tour as your guide tells you all about this amazing island. Training is also provided to make sure you are comfortable riding your Segway. The tour concludes at the original meeting point after you are transported back to Savannah.

So much fun! Carolyn is a great guide! She knows her history and lots of fun interesting things to make the experience that much better! I would recommend to anyone on the fence about doing a Segway tour to get off the fence and DO IT! Lots of fun!!! Super easy to ride a Segway and you get to see so many neat things that you might not otherwise see!

The ease of booking and scheduling our Segway tour was only a start. Our guide/hostess, Carolyn Mahan, was knowledgeable about the history and culture of Tybee Island, and we felt as though we were spending the afternoon with an old friend. We definitely will be booking their other Segway tours for future outings. What a great way to spend the afternoon!
