This tour will take you to Kuala Selangor in the quiet hamlet of Kampung Kuantan, where one of the largest firefly colonies in the world exists. When you arrive, you'll visit Kota Melawati, formerly known as Fort Altingsburg, with its old execution block, royal mausoleum and colonial buildings. You will be picked up from your hotel in central Kuala Lumpur and driven to Kuala Selangor, approximately 1.5 hours away. Kuala Selangor is a small village on the banks of the Selangor River. The village is well-known, as you can find millions of fireflies there.   Upon arrival you’ll visit Bukit Melawati, where Fort Altingsburg is located. A lighthouse strands on top of the hill, surrounded by tall trees. Look out for local birds, silvered leaf monkeys and long-tailed macaques. You’ll head to a nearby fishing village for a typical seafood dinner before making your way to Kampung Kuantan.   At around 6:30 PM you’ll board a boat and row along the river to see the fireflies. Millions of fireflies present you with a dazzling display of lights flickering in synchrony, that resemble twinkling electric lights on a Christmas tree. You will be dazzled at the sight. At 8:30 PM, you’ll depart from Kuala Selangor and drive back to Kuala Lumpur in the comfort of a private vehicle.

See the Millennium Monument, also called Monumen Alaf Baru, a towering gold/bronze structure that is a major landmark in Putrajaya. 

Itinerary: 5.45 pm – Assemble at the boarding area. 6.00 pm – Dickson Dragon Departs 6.05 pm – Welcome Announcement and Safety Briefing.
