Full description
Head to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and see the strip of land between North and South Korea that symbolizes a decades-long conflict and an important chapter of world history. Start your tour at Imjingpak Park, situated only 7 km from the Demarcation Line, a tribute to the Korean War. Visit its observatory, monuments, and the Freedom Bridge, which was used to transport 13,000 prisoners home after the war. Continue to the Third Infiltration Tunnel, discovered in 1978, and witness an incomplete tunnel built by North Korea into the South that was denounced by the UN. Descend into history at the Dora Observatory and see into North Korea. Lastly, head to Dorasan Station, the last station before the DMZ and symbolic of the hope of reunification. Be dropped off at the City Hall in Seoul at the conclusion of the tour.

What an interesting insight into the Korean history and how resilient the south has become since the end of the war. We did have some initial issues with the PA system on the coach but Dora our guide handled this like a true professional! It was a shame the JSA was not open to the public but we were very lucky with the weather and has great clear views from the observation lookout. Thank you Dora for a great day, one I will never forget!

It was a very nice tour. Yoon was a very good tour guide and provided a lot of information. Although I couldn't always understand everything due to some construction noise at Imjinjak. But there was always enough time to ask her again. The observatory was quite nice. I also liked the 3rd infiltration tunnel. Before I came here I planned to visit the JSA and was very disappointed to hear that it is closed. But this tour was a good alternative since you could see a little bit of North Corea from the observatory.

With this tour you will visit Imjingak Park while the guide will give you interesting information about the Korean War and events related to the park itself. You will then move to the Dora observatory where you can admire North Korea, weather permitting (do this excursion on a sunny day) and then move to the third tunnel where you can walk in the real tunnel dug by the North. All in all it was a nice trip, with more time we would have liked to visit the JSA too, but for what we had available we were satisfied.
