Full description

Venture into the heart of Andalucia and you will discover an ancient city bursting with intellectual wealth, vibrant history, and architectural triumphs. On this day trip to Córdoba you will have the opportunity to peel back the layers of time and understand the diversity of cultures, which have come to define this unique and remarkable place. No introduction to the city would be complete without a visit to the world famous Mezquita where you can lose yourself amongst the sea of red and white striped arches of the Hypostyle Hall. With 856 columns of jasper, onyx, marble, and granite, this former mosque-turned-cathedral is regarded as one of the most accomplished monuments of Renaissance and Moorish architecture. Other highlights of the day will include a visit to the Jewish Synagogue, and a stroll along the Calle de las Flores. Few cities in the world can claim to have been the capital of a Roman province, an Arab state, and a Caliphate, but it is this heritage that has elevated Córdoba to its status as a World Heritage Site. In addition to its strong historical foundations, the city’s arts, music, and leisure scene helps to cross the boundaries into contemporary Spanish culture.

This trip went well. It is nevertheless regrettable that the local guide in Cordoba did not speak French, although it was specified when ordering. Fortunately, thanks to the guide present in the bus (again a big thank you to Roman!), we were able to have some comments of the visit of the cathedral in French. He indeed accompanied us during this visit (which was not planned in his job), and he was able to translate live a good part of the explanations of the Spanish guide. PLEASE PROVIDE GUIDES IN FRENCH DURING YOUR VISITS, WHEN YOU HAVE FRENCH CUSTOMERS

Córdoba is a place that you should definitely visit if you are in Spain. The Alcázar and the Mosque are exceptional places. Pablo the tour guide very friendly and knowledgeable about the route. In Córdoba Rosa excellent guide! Perhaps they should give more free time as there are many things to do!
