Satoru-san was a great teacher who was happy to share his life story and why cooking is so important to him, as well as answering our questions and making fun conversation in the appropriate moments. Also, it was very interesting to visit a local's home and see what delicious Japanese food can be made at home! We didn't only watched the cooking but also participated in the process, chopping, seasoning, prepping, and so on, while learning about the ingredients, the recipe and their place in Japanese cooking, making it all the more fun.
Had such an amazing experience learning traditional Japanese cooking today!! Sato is a great chef, great company and great tour guide. Best ramen and gyoza’s we’ve had (and first time making). Definitely recommend this cooking experience with Sato!!! :)
My tour guide was Patrick. I can only recommend him to everyone, he knows Tokyo very well and was able to show me many places that I would never have found on my own. The food, drink and the trip through the alleys - everything was just awesome!
My guide was a young student who spoke perfect English, knew the area and was a lot of fun! We were able to experience a couple of firsts for both of us together and the food, while not hard to find out of the way stuff, was still excellent!
