Planning Your Visit
When to visit?
You can visit Siem Reap all year round, however, make sure to look at the climate statistics before you go and while you are there and plan your days accordingly! The weather is tropical and variable. As a rule of thumb, the weather is driest from November to March, so if you want to avoid tropical rain, then this is perhaps the best time to book your trip!
How may days?
Most tourists go to the region to visit the local temples. You can purchase different types of temple passes. However, a three day pass, and three nights in Siem Reap will be enough to fufill any temple-goers!

What people are saying about Siem Reap
My wife and I had a great time on this adventure that was full of info, some tips and 'secrets' as well as generally had a great time with the host/guide Pol (aka Mr Friday!). It was made especially special because we were the only guests on the tour, picked up by private 'limousine' at our hotel Templation, driving off towards Tonle Sap lake, stopping at a restaurant famous for the Lotus Flowers it also cultivates - learning why the Lotus is such an important flower, how versatile it is. We also heard the tales of the bloody civil war and at times tense situation between the Khmer and Vietnamese families of the lake. Living as they have been for decades, the 900 or so families living on the lake are Vietnamese, yet have no passports and are granted to stay on the lake by the Cambodian government. Had a thrilling time seeing the Crocodiles of the Croc farm before getting to the Queen Tara where we enjoyed our dinner and free flow beverages/alcohol watching the sunset.
Really good tour. The company was on time for pick-up and we could get a good spot to see Angkor Wat during sunset. For the remaining time, we saw all main temples on the Angkor complex and took many good pictures. Our guide was particularly good for that! As feedback, the tour did not last as originally stated. For day 1 we were supposed to finish at 13 hrs; instead we were heading back by 11:40 am; we did not get enough time to appreciate the Bayon temple as we were rushing to the van to head back to the hotel. On day 2 we were heading at 3:30 but we could've stayed more in my opinion. As an advice to fellow travelers, I would spare an additional day to go back to the temples you liked the most (or to other additional temples, as there are many) either on your own or with a private guide.
Our guide was amazing - BAP. He was able to be flexible with the tour and give us very good information. Thanks again.
Very good guide. On the other hand, an unexplained error occurred: the payment was made in Russian rubles ...
Very entertaining mixture of music, acrobatics and drama. Pitched as a story.
