It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction. Then, drive to the intricately carved and well-preserved Banteay Srei. The detailed reliefs on this smaller sandstone structure are regarded as the finest, most skillfully crafted in Cambodia. Banteay Srei has only been accessible since the late 1990s, when the Khmer Rouge left the area. End your tour at Angkor with lunch at the temple and a short rest. On the return journey, visit Neak Pean, a Buddhist temple on a circular artificial island in Jayatataka Baray, then continue to Preah Khan temple, a ruined but highly atmospheric mélange of tree roots and crumbling stone structures commissioned by the prolific temple builder Jayavarman VII in honor of his father. We really liked the tour! We were 4 people from Hungary & Austria, we were picked up at the hotel by 2 tuktuks and visited the local market. Not the one in the city center but a bigger one for locals at the side of the town with no tourists at all. Mr. Pheng has explained everything, told about the history, buildings, local lifestyle, everything in English. After the local market, we went to another area, where he showed us all the street foods including insects and any other stuff. If we liked something he stopped and bought it for us, it was not pre-arranged. After the tasting we went to a good restaurant where we had dinner. He was super helpful, kind, entertaining, I really recommend this tour to everyone who wants to taste the local food and wants to explore areas where less known by tourists.

Had a lovely time with Seth. He was so attentive, polite and made sure I had everything to taste. We went only to local restaurants, so we ate like combodians: fried rice noodles, fried garlic, traditional soup and a lot of flavoured vegetables. And as desert some crunchy insects. We ended the day by zipping a beer and instead of peanuts, the insects sure made for an unique replacement. We also talked about the cambodian life in general, so I would definitely recommend the tour to get more insights into Cambodia.

the food tour is excellent uniquely cambodian our guide, david showed us the traditional food of cambodia, even belut and silkworms. this is an interesting experience which we will not have experienced elsewhere in other countries. david is also patient, looking out for our safety and engaged us individually, taking care not to isolate us. i am glad to be on tour by david and enjoy the unique culture of cambodia through the tour! recommend 100%
