Day 1: Full-Day Angkor Sunrise Tour
Start at 5:00 am an early morning to witness the sunrise at the extraordinary Angkor Wat and travel through the vast collection of ancient temples. Go through the central complex and learn about the history and symbolism of the temple.
Once you've finished discovering Angkor Wat and had breakfast, head out into the center of Angkor Thom and enter the city through the Ancient Gate. From here, continue to Bayon Temple, known for the enigmatic towers representing the 54 provinces of the Great Khmer Empire.
Continue to Ta Prohm Temple, which has been surrounded by jungle trees and vines, resulting in one of the most photogenic temples in the entire Angkor site. After all, that walking, enjoy lunch with a large spread of local dishes. As the day heats up, we drive back to your hotel.
Day 2: Floating Village and Sunset Boat Ride
Start at 2:30 pm pick up from your accommodation. Head south of Siem Reap through the picturesque Cambodian countryside. Stop at a local family house surrounded by rice paddies and farms. Enjoy some cold coconut water or juice, meet the family, and spend time with them to learn about their farming life.
Head over to Tonle Sap Lake and tour the floating villages by boat. Your guide will tell you about the phenomenon that creates a depth variance of up to eight meters and why this lake is vital to Cambodia’s survival. Finish off the adventure by taking a boat ride with local delicacies at sunset.
