Full description
Travel back to the 12th-century Khmer Empire and explore the magnificent monuments of Angkor Wat, where the temple complex tells the Hindu and Buddhist history of the ancient city. Cross the moat and marvel at the towering outer wall. Wander along the rectangular galleries and get up close to the bas-reliefs carved into the sandstone walls. Continue to Angkor Thom to explore the last capital city of the Khmer Empire. Admire the stone figures that greet you at the southern gates, and then stroll towards the Bayon temple to admire its upper terrace and the etchings of smiling faces at its central peak. Visit the Terrace of the Leper King and Terrace of the Elephants. Enjoy lunch at your own expense before visiting the iconic temple of Ta Prohm, world-famous for the remains of temples with trees growing out of the ruins. Watch the sunset at the Pre Rup temple before getting dropped off at your hotel in Siem Reap.

Our guide (Sok Chea) and driver (Pai) were very friendly and competent, and just the best you can find in Cambodia! Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples are definitely a World Wonder you have to see! Our guide, Sok Chea, even took his time to take the best pictures of us at places and with settings you simply can't reach with a selfie - pictures of us with Angkor Wat and panoramic photos of us in front of huge trees at Ta Prohm (which was our favourite temple). On this tour, you will see Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider temple) and Bayon Temple (the one with many smiling faces, where monkeys played in the trees) and as there was a lot of rain this day, we saw another temple instead of the sunset: Banteay Srei (the famous one with the red and yellow limestones). Sok Chea really knows everything about those temples and explains the many carvings around the temple walls with their manifold history. It was a great day! Kind regards from Austria - Annelies & Christian

The tour is wonderful, I only regret my little knowledge of English. The guide was very detailed. The only thing I didn't like was that there was just me and someone else in the group that we were going to watch the sunset, the person gave up and I was left without that part.

Great trip with pick up working well and nice guide and driver (Sag). As it was very hot the lunch break was rather long - as we are more active we would have prefered to maybe visit an other temple/sight in the park (but that is personal preference). The sunset spot is ok but crowded and not overwhelming (you don't see Angkor Wat). The refreshing towels the driver gave us were great.
